Brown Rice with Umeboshi (Pickled Plum)
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- Brown rice2.5 cups
- Umeboshi (Pickled plum)1 piece
- Rinsebrown rice and strain. Drain for about 30 minutes. (If you have time, drain overnight.
- In a pressure cooker, pour brown rice, water and Umeboshi torn into pieces. Put the lid on and turn the heat up high. When the weight starts to move, turn the heat down low and cook for another 30 minutes.
- Turn heat off, remove from the gas stove and let it stand for 15 minutes.
